First off great to hear that plane is cured.

Always interested in "new" techniques like side sharpening. Is there anything more to it? I was interested to see the dude in the Swiss plane making video from 83 was side sharpening. I have been doing it for ever, but in earnest when I was pressed into the use of paper by the conditions of mys shop. I normally let the bevel tell me what method will give me the most stable results.
