Can't argue with what works Craig. My comment here was just to the effect that I can't always tell who is making what case since we can be talking about quite different processes. I prefer to sharpen both sides because it gets me the polish I want, but to the extent you are getting the edge you need for your work, who can argue. In fact, unless one is using a micro bevel on the back, or a japanese type hollow where the surface area is reduced, it is darn hard to make that much of an impression when polishing backs with very fine grits, given the acreage.
