Derek....a response to the three criticisms of tool trays/wells:....a.) a tool tray is not designed to be a long term storage solution for your hand tools....just as you would not store your hand tools on your shop floor, do not leave them in your tool tray indefinitely and then complain about clutter....clean the thing out at the end of the day....b.) one way that a tool tray does allow clamping even when the bench is up against a wall....

and c.) my tray is only 2 3/8" deep (which I consider shallow), but I could lay a LN 51 on its side (2 1/8" dimension of the base would now be in up right position) and work right over it....what more do you want??.....if any one would like to voluntarily send me their 51 for this experiment, I'd gladly accept.
