Some museums, the one in Philly for example, include in their mission a teaching/research component. These places are accommodating to persons researching a topic or making a reproduction. Other places, Winterthur for example, aim to profit from their collections and therefore erect obstacles to someone wanting to do a reproduction, but they are more accommodating to persons doing research. I would suggest approaching the question from the research angle and ask in the context of researching angles used on this sort of plane.
