Here is a link to Mercer's picture, which shows the profile of the plane somewhat better. You can see how the top is scooped out toward the front. A 30 degree bed would be improbable for a plane like this. Mercer's picture confirms that a 30 degree bed would have the mouth at the very front of the plane. I still think 45 degrees is close.
