Better still......Response To:
jeez... () Bill Tindall
In the quest for the title of "Cheapest on the Forum" I wish to enter the fact that I got 6' of free "granite" back splash at the rock fabricator. These folks throw out literally tons of flat rock of all sizes and shapes. Score some of the rock with the blue flashes and become the envy of the substrate owners.
BTW, Very little rock at these places is granite and it is great amusement to correct the sales staff that what is being sold as granite is in fact gneiss, or some other geologically unrelated species. However, pointing out the hornblende and garnets that distinguish gneiss from granite seldom results in a learning opportunity.
