40 years ago this coming summer, minding my own business fixing my car by the side of the road, hit and run, left in the ditch for dead and found two hours later. Broke everything from the hip on down on the left side, plus some other stuff. Ten weeks in the hospital, a couple years in recovery. I still deal with the after-effects. One bonus: met LOML in the hospital.
