Yeah, I can't seem to conceptualize thread chasers to an end product. I've made wooden nuts and bolts, but only with those threading kits; and I've tested making St. Roy's version, applying a single cutter for both nuts and threads; but how a thread chaser makes a thread is beyond me. It seems they'd just make concentric and unconnected round gouges on spindles. Somehow they do more.
