Any dry wheel grinder that's, say, 6" high speed or 8" low speed.

And the 1000 and 8000 of the stones you listed are what I'd use.

I've been using a 1000 shapton and a 15000 shapton for several years. That's about the biggest gap I'd want, and the shaptons cut fast for a stone of that grit as long as the steel isn't high speed steel. I wouldn't make that gap maybe with older style stones.

But the 1000 and 8000 nortons you have will give you every edge you'll ever need for woodworking short of working some carving tools, maybe.
