I'm having trouble figuring out how most of that response has anything to do with sharpening woodworking tools quickly and precisely, and how any of it would have to do with practical use of woodworking tools.

I'm also still absolutely and completely baffled how anyone could construe the use of a hollow bevel as not taking care of tools. I just can't even comprehend how someone who has actually used the tools could come to that conclusion.

Where does the discussion of O1 come into this? I don't get it, there must be some prior history there that I'm not aware of.
