I was wondering how the zinc coating of the bolts would interact with the O1 plate.

My thoughts had run to spraying on 3-in-1 white lithium grease, which is an excellent, long-lasting lubricant and is good for protection against corrosion. Whether it will protect against chemical welding in this instance is a question mark.
