Subject:
PS- two important additional details

Bill Tindall
1. The bench has a huge overhang. It enables stuff to be easily clamped to the bench which is how I get by without the usual traditional bench fixtures.

2. Overhead among the multitude of lights are plug drops for corded tools. It is handy to have cords above the work where they are out of the way.

On the subject of lights, the shop was not pleasant to work in compared to my former naturally lighted shop. In fact I could not stand to work in it more than a couple of hours. My brother-in-law, the lighting engineer, diagnosed my problem- too little light, and flicker from the old style ballasts. Apparently I am stressed by flicker. It took a huge number(16) of lamps and a near white bench top to get up to the 200 foot candles he recommended. (Natural outside shade is 500, by comparison. Your shop may only be 50)The result is pleasant and many have commented on the favorable lighting. If you don't like your shop look into the lighting.
