Re: Hide glue for thick veneers *LINK*

Thanks for the confirmation Stephen! It's good to know that this is a viable plan. I didn't want to resaw expensive wood just to have a failure on my hands when it came to glue-up.

I saw an article on the Popular Woodworking blog about a veneer failure that has me a bit scared. They claim contact cement is the way to go. I think I'll try my hand at hide glue first since I'm not cutting the veneer thin or on the bias like the failed example in the link below.

The 90 degrees might be hard to come by here, as it's been down in the 60's and drizzling in San Diego. The rest of the country is sweating in 100% humidity and 100 degrees, and I need to put on a jacket. Great bicycling weather, but it's not great for working with hide glue.
