Subject:
Sand blast old saw?

justin
I picked up 3 saws at a demolition site. All Diston, but only one has an etching. I've tried the steel wool and emery paper to clean up, but it's labourious.

As these saws are really of little value, can I, should I sand blast to clean up?

They will be used as work tools thereafter. My boss wants me to use a chain saw, but it always breaks, runs out of gas etc, in the middle of nowhere, and I'm running out of space in the sidecar for tools.
