Bill, I got it from an urban harvester in Atlanta. Here's a photo. The top is maple for comparison. The beech seems to have aged a bit to a sort of light brown over time but it still has rose hints. Really, it's still pretty close to the color it was when I worked it. I bought it when it was a couple of months cut and then I air dried it for another year or so.
