The objective was to provide information others might not have.
It may be that people associate aluminum bar clamps with what they are able to see at Harbor Freight. I encountered the Universal clamps at Many's in Lexington (now closed), recognized their utility and tracked down the source. The Hargrave clamps are no longer made. Why a foreign manufacturer never copied them is mystery. It could be that a recent woodworker would encounter them at an estate sale and not realize they were, and still are in cases, the workhorse clamp of professional shops and factories.
