Around here Animal Control will not help with wild animals, regardless of the issues, in town or in the country. The TN law is a wild animal can not be moved from where it is found or trapped - the only legal options are to release it or dispatch it on the spot (unless it is a game animal out of season). There are pest removal companies that will come and trap and kill on your property but they want a lot of moola. I used to release all skunks I caught in traps intended for raccoons but when I caught them being destructive to livestock and property I instead give them a little underwater swimming lesson.
