Countersink and use #8's?

Bill, can you just countersink the hole more? I use a countersink for wood and it works on brass hinges without issue, cuts cleanly and does not wear the bit to a noticeable degree.

I use brass screws mostly from McMaster Carr, not sure the source but they are good quality and install well.
