Re: *** SURVEY: THE IDES OF MARCH ***

Bruce, a MN Galoot
Our goals are different, Ellis. For my woodworking life, WWing has been my leisure activity, not my main work. I dreamed of the time when I could do woodwork when I wanted for as long as I wanted.

My shop is pretty small to begin with. A couple years ago, shortly before I retired, my wife suggested I'd better stock up on or replace tools because there wouldn't be any time in the future where we would have more money. So I did. What I have is still pretty modest, but it is sufficient for my needs and will last me until I can't do it anymore.

Our kids have no interest in my tools, so my wife has a complete inventory of everything and an estimate of their value today. I have given a few tools to some young friends who do have an interest.
