Grundfos is considered the cream of the crop in sump pumps and water circulation pumps. It may not be built in the USA, but Made in Denmark ain't too bad

It is actually an active consideration, as I have had a little problem with high groundwater level and occasional seepage in the basemment floor. I am presently having a well dug in the basement and a Grundfos pump installed to lower the water level under the house. The hope is that a perimeter drain is not necessary as the permeability of the subsoil seems prety good.
