When I got my table saw, I had 2 friends help me get it off the truck. We knew it was around 300 lbs. But, there is almost nowhere to grab it. Few inches from the floor and it slipped. One scrape on a hand and ding on the base, so we got lucky.

If I ever get to build a new shop, I'm putting in beam and hoist system. We routinely work with such heavy things in our shops that we need such devices available. Too many close calls in my life.

Too bad I can't move all my half ton machinery by smacking it and saying Git!
