epoxy and sawdust mixing ()

When mixing small batches of epoxy (under 4 oz of resin) it can be difficult to get the proportion of resin to hardener correct. This can lead to poor performance and a mess of half cured, gummy resin to remove from the project.

I use System Three (the other large retail marketer) which is a "2-to-1" ratio mix of resin to hardener. As I'm always mixing less than 2 oz. I bought a digital gram scale ($16 - Amazon) that makes it easy to get the exact 100-to-44 parts by weight ratio that System Three directs.

West recommends using their "metered" pumps to dispense the product for mixing. I've not tried them.
