We were without power as well but being on a secondary road we had power back on the 5th day. I was lucky that the local hardware got in 25 gas powered generators (they were real good about the price $725.00 and said they only marked them up about $5.00 and did it more as a community service) I picked up the first one so I was with power in the second full day but we lost everything in the refrigerator/freezer but saved and cooked most of the stuff in the stand alone freeze (never opened) in our walk out basement which stayed at about 73 degrees. We slept there on a air mattress for two of the 5 days. I will have to put in an electrical box to feed extensions from to the fridge, freezer, 2 wood stoves and a few lights. I also have 1 220 hook up but found that I can run for 11 hours on 7 gallons of gas if I keep the load as low as possible even though the gen has 2 banks of 4 120VAC and 1 220VAC outlet.
