I really haven't looked at the Rikon machines other than in ads. From all appearances it is an importer that wants to be a Grizzly. Unlike you I have read several complaints about both their machines and their customer service. You might do a little web searching and read customer comments. With the service and quality I have received from Grizzly I would not chance purchasing from Rikon. If at all possible I will always buy American made - sometimes there is no comparative machine built in USA or the price is more than double - then I look at Grizzly.
