Got carried away spraying toner made with garnet shellac and transtint dye. the piece is now too dark. Can I lighten the piece by removing some of the toner layers with alcohol or sanding? Alcohol worked on a very small area, but on a larger piece, 6" x 14', I made a mess. My spraying technique is getting better, but my color matching needs work. Thanks. jerry
