Thanks for the info. I had only tried the FA on maple, and didn't like what I got, so borrowed some dye from my finisher friend.

On another note, I had a first meeting yesterday, with a new client, who has the lumber from a former AR state champion Loblolly Pine, to make some furniture. While swapping info, he mentioned a large Osage down on a newly cleared construction site. I need to go check it out.
