darrin, are you saying the case is fake leather ? If so, does that mean it's plastic, or is it cloth ? If it is plastic (a petroleum-based material) or cloth with a plastic coating (such as vinyl), I would not use any solvent, as it may disintegrate the original texture. If it's cloth or leather, I would try saddle soap, maybe with a light touch with a toothbrush, and then polish with a soft cloth, maybe a little wax. If the base material is a paper, I wouldn't use anything liquid, but you might be able to polish it.
