How close to the compressor is the water filter, and how good is the filter? Keep it as far away from the compressor as possible. Cool air will not hold water as well as hot air. If you have the filter right next to the compressor, a lot of water will pass through it. I like desiccant filters since it will grab the moisture, but then you put the desiccate in a toaster oven so that you can reuse it.
