What's the objective?

I pose that question in a general way, and not to question why you're investigating this device ...

Is someone in the home suffering symptoms and needs purify the air? Or does this fall in the realm of "because I can?"

It seems that this will only treat air that goes through the HVAC system. I wonder (and I don't know the answer to this) how much of the air in a house circulates from room to room without going through the HVAC ducts? (Judging from the poor performance of a dust collector at filtering room air, aside from its designed purpose of collecting debris at the source machine, I'd guess that a small portion of the air in a house goes through the duct work. Not to mention the number of air exchanges a house experiences each hour/day.) This would diminish the overall effectiveness of the system.

(I realize that in Virginia when you're not running the heater you're probably running the a/c. That's what we did in Fairfax. But here in Colorado Springs, when I'm not running the heater, the windows are usually open.)

This forum sure covers a wide variety of topics. Lots to learn here.

Cheers
