Subject:
Way OT Cost of Airline Tickets

Barry Irby
My son wanted to fly from Richmond VA to somewhere in South Carolina. (Senior moment, can't think of the airport). He found that there were no direct flights and they wanted him to fly someplace else first. Some flights went north to DC or Even Chicago. The ones that went south went to Atlanta or further and then back to the desired city. The layovers were either ridiculously long or extremely short. Then he stumbled onto the idea of flying to someplace in Florida and low and behold, there was flight that was much cheaper and they flew directly from Richmond and had a layover in the desired city and they went on to Florida. So, He took that flight and then just got off in South Carolina. This is weird.

He was only flying one way. But it occurred to me to wonder if you could do it round trip? Could he have taken a round trip ticket and then gotten on in the middle of the flight if they laid over on the way back?
