Mark Mandell - Gone Round In New Jersey
I use System 3 or West resin with their "fast" or "medium" hardener. Mixing can be a bit fussy. I bought a small $15 digital gram scale which has helped quite a bit. System 3 is mixed 100 parts resin to 44 parts hardener by weight. This is more precise that other resins, as you can make very precise mixes that give maximum strength, especially in small batches.

You must let the epoxy cure well before sanding it; I wait 18 to 24 hours. I find that 80 in an RO does quite well to level the filler (also takes off the shellac sealer), then sand your piece up through the grits as you normally would.
