Genuine old fashioned milk paint

Yes, I used "Genuine old fashioned milk paint" bought from Lee Valley.

It went on very chalky, but it burnished very nicely using grey/maroon scotch brite pads. I distressed the finish with a bit of wax between coats and wet-rubbing through layers with the scotch brite pads, then applied a single coat of polymerized tung oil.
