Tks much, Paul. I was hoping that someone with real life experience with them would reply. I was going by a place that sells them anyway, so I stopped in to look at them. They had 4' x 6' x 3/4" and 5' x 7' x 1/2". I'm leaning toward the bigger one - fewer seams, and I'm thinking that 1/2" is plenty. My heaviest machine would be my Vega bowl lathe. I think that it's somewhere around 500 #. I'm just waiting for the 5 x 7 to go on sale. The guy told me that they would drop from $60 to $50. Since I need 10, I can wait and save $100, plus taxes.
