Tks, Bill. I have already spoken to people at the store that sells the mats. They have no experience with machinery. As for cows - they move. They don't stand in one place for weeks at a time. Some of my machinery does. It's not the rolling over the floor that concerns me. It appears that the mats will handle that well. It's what will happen if/when a jointer or table saw sits in one place for quite a while. If it leaves a deep dent, sooner or later, the floor will be a mess.
