Virtually any digital camera will have an image size selection built in. My Canon offers to take images in sizes all the way down to 640 X 480. It is best to take pictures at the best quality and highest resolution possible but if that is an insurmountable hurdle then simply resetting the camera for a smaller size might be a tolerable fallback.
