I have sprayed the ivy in the Spring, Summer, and Autumn and under various weather conditions and the result is pretty much the same. I've been told that if I was able to mow/weed-whack the ivy down to the roots and then spray the new shoots that the glyphosate herbicide would be most effective. The big problem there is the actual mowing/weed-whacking process. My next step is to find a really dangerous (to many plants anyway) herbicide called Clopyralid which is supposed to work a treat. At the price they charge it had better!
