OK, Ellis, I have sent several emails with pictures...on Sunday morning. Hope these show you guys what I have been doing. The chairs do sit and rock well. For the next chair....a Maloof copy... I have decided to not use Tightbond glue...rather decided to try using "liquid nails", and so far it has turned out very good...squeezeout has been minimal and is swiped off with a spatula. The boards seem to be held better and setup quicker.
Am bandsawing the new chair seat to shape, will scope out the interior contours with my sanders.
Then cut in the openings for the front and rear legs; bolt them to the seat and drill dowel holes in the bottom of them for mounting on the rockers; Then there will be a whole lot of disc sanding to finalize the chairs contours. Seat back and upper headboard have not been touched as yet.
