Applied some dark walnut/poly to the first chair. It still shows the grains in the wood. will wait until it totally drys and then if it does not meet my standards for looks after applying second coat then I shall just end up painting it.
The chair does sit and rocks well. Second chair is of the same design and I shall see how it too stains before painting both if needed.
