HD donated one of the Ridgid saws to a local

JL
organization. House raising volunteers in a neighboring county.

I checked it out.
1) The miter gauge is not the best. It will work - but then again, how often do you use a miter gauge?
2) Motor is okay. Not the best, not the worst. With a good blade (which this one definitely was not) - it should do fine.
3) Fence - okay fence. Not the best, but quite serviceable. Pretty stable - looks to be easy enough to adjust.
4) I wasn't too happy with the tilt wheel. I think it is a bit too high - knuckle scraper.

I REALLY liked the ease of movement. I remember what a PITA it was to move my old Sears contractor's saw. The mobile capacity of this one is a definite plus.

YMMV. I might buy this saw if I were in the market.
