of a tool used to repair tires. A strip of soft rubber is inserted in the pointed end hole and pushed through. When the shaft is withdrawn it pulls the rubber partially out where it is taken from the tool. The rest remains and seals the tire. Lots of good ideas but until I see it's brother or sister, I have no confirmation of where it belongs.
