Ridgid - on the third set of batteries nowResponse To:
Re: Drill Driver acting up - recommendations? () Hoa in Alameda
I picked up a Ridgid 12V drill kit 6 years ago from my local HD's clearance table. It's compared favorably against my 12V Dewalt (the heavy duty model with metal clutch).
I'm on my third set of Ridgid batteries. There is a Ridgid authorized service center near my house. Each time the batteries went bad, I dropped the whole set (drill, batteries, charger) off and pick it up in about 7 - 10 days. No hassle at all.
With the Ridgid, I have no reason to spend money replacing the batteries for the Dewalt. It's been unused for the last 3 years.
