I'm pretty sure it was the windings. The capacitor clicks on but the motor doesn't turn. Also, where I live (Long Island) is pathetic for finding shops to fix/repair anything. Plenty of nail salons and cell phone stores but not a tool or woodworking shop anywhere. It's really sad.
