Paul in AZ provided a link that ultimately got me to the link below. The author gives very good instructions for the process, which I modified slightly. Once you get the general idea, it is quite easy to make a basic end grain cutting board. However, in further research, I found that there are scores of different designs that are all amazing. These are the ones to which I aspire.

A funny side note, when I mentioned that I wanted to make a cutting board, LOML said to not make one for her since she has a few in the cupboard that she never uses. However, when she saw the completed product, she decided that it turned out much better than she expected and a slightly smaller one might be nice! Just now she indicated that maybe she will keep this one! LOL
