Thanks for your approval. With the DC-33 planer it's not a huge issue in either direction, the power cord can be run down and under the stand and out any direction, and the controls can be reached from either side. A couple years ago I built a similar dust hood for a Ryobi AP12 lunch box style planer ( shown ) where the direction of the port was more of an issue. This isn't my first dust hood for a thickness planer.
