With 84 turnings to do, you could just start turning them using a story stick to help you keep the transitions consistent. At the end of that 84, you'll have more than enough experience, and it will be a skill that you'll use again and again.

And so what if you wind up messing up a few? If you're really worried, do dry runs on scrap wood.
