Re: Cost/benefit tradeoffs ( Bill )

I really think your attitude stinks. Woodworking is my hobby - period! I don't try or have to justify the costs of my tools. I purchased them because I like them as do many on this site. I personally feel good for the woodworkers that are excited and happy to get a cabinet saw, new or used or any other equipment they want. I worked for everything I have. NO one gave me anything and I worked 2 and 3 jobs most of my working life before I retired and raised 6 children. I don't drive (and haven't since 1963) a new or even late model car. I don't have a big fishing boat, or play golf or gamble. I don't cut those down that do enjoy those things, and am happy if they enjoy them. I am not jealous of those who have better cars, boats, houses or equipment than I do - more power to them. I do enjoy woodworking and shooting (and collecting guns) and enjoy corresponding with others of similar ilk. To me it sounds like you are mad at anyone who has more than you or doesn't agree with your thinking. Shame on you!
