Some kind of "raised dot" resilient tile. I was given a sample by a flooring company of some glue down tile in 1 meter squares. It has been in front of the table saw at work for about 5-6 years, not glued down. It is comfortable to stand on, not slick, and dropped edge tools find it very forgiving. Any flooring company can give you info on a variety of brands
