Thank you, Larry, I got a second wind and went back aqnd drilled the le4g and arm holes for the spindles, mounted the spindles in dry to the seat and arms so I could get a b3tter perspective....and it did re3fresh me to finish both of them. Have the other seat already for final sanding and drilling of holes, have made the arms and rockers too for both and they all do fit rather well dry. Still have to build the steam box and bend the headboards. Back seat designs are cut and sanded, splats are made, have to drill the holes for them yet in seat and headboards before steaming. Have to buy some more material to make the other spindles.
I used Charles Neil's method for scooping out the seats using the dado blade setup....it worked out real good and I used Barry Irby's suggestion of setting a stop block so I did not go past the line of the rear of the seat cove.....worked out fine. And using the Saburr carbide donut yesterday morning let me make the coves in the seats and still have to smooth out the gouges which inevably occur when using those tools. Am going to be buying some cabinet scrapers to smooth out better.
All in all, guys and gals....I got my perspective back in tow and shall stay here on WC, contribute as I can.
Thank you ALL..... Joe
