Books, plans & Ol' Norm . . .Response To:
How many book projects really get made? () steve mackay
I tend to buy a book or plan in order to get a "technique". I picked up a book on veneering just to see how it worked in order to do repairs. The toolbox plans from LV just to get the general idea for the carcas and runners. And I know, deep in my heart, I'll never build anything Ol' Norm does (nor own a biscut machine !) but I do use many, many of his gags (but I use hand tools). It IS a funny idea to think how many folks are building Rockler's "gazebo" (by the book) in their backyard though.
