We sold our home in the country with a 24 x 40 woodworking shop and downsized to a ranch house. Faced with the almost overwhelming task of disassembling and moving a lifetime of tool accumulations, I was ready to sell it all at auction and find something else to occupy my time. My buddy talked me out of giving up and we somehow moved most of the tools and carried them down twelve steps to the basement of the new house. I'm 80, and it wasn't easy. He and I have been working on studding walls, installing a sub-panel, wiring and we have about half of the paneling up. It's looking good, and I'm glad I didn't give it up. I still enjoy spending time in the shop, mostly working on gifts, but some items for sale at craft shows. SWMBO has many jobs lined up for when I'm up and running including built in book shelves, etc. etc. etc. I've been retired from Xerox since 1994, and I can honestly say I've never lacked for things to do or have been bored.
